Kim Fleming, Vice Chair
Kim Fleming currently serves as Vice-Chair and Executive Committee Member for Baird. Prior to joining Baird, she was Chairman and CEO of Hefren-Tillotson, a privately held Pittsburgh-based firm offering comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services for individuals, foundations, trusts and qualified retirement plans.
Kim serves on the boards of Steel City Squash, Dollar Bank, The Duquesne Club (President) and the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. She is the Former Board Chair for The Buhl Foundation.
Kim earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Northwestern University and holds several professional designations. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder, a graduate and former board member of the Securities Industry Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and she has completed the Center for Fiduciary Studies Certification program at the University of Pittsburgh.
Kim is a member of the CFA Institute, Pittsburgh Society of Financial Analysts, Financial Planning Association, served on the NASD District Business Conduct Committee and on the Board of Governors of SIFMA. Kim has been awarded the Pittsburgh Business Times “Lifetime Achievement Award,” which honors the region’s most influential businesswomen. She was honored with the Roberto Clemente “Seat 21” Award from the Pittsburgh Pirates for her community service, and the History Makers Award in Business by the Heinz History Center for her community work. Kim was selected by the Governor as a Distinguished Daughter of Pennsylvania for extraordinary service and contributions to the Commonwealth.
Service in mission work is very important to Kim. She has been actively involved with local, national, and international project-related mission trips, including annual youth group work camps, and she organized two Habitat for Humanity mission trips to Guatemala for Hefren-Tillotson employees.
Kim and her husband, Curt, reside in Wexford, PA with their three dogs. They have two sons, Grant and Todd, who also work at Baird, and two beautiful granddaughters - Claire and Brooke.
